The MRF’s Directory of Headache and Migraine Specialists

The Migraine Research Foundation raises money to fund research grants that will further the understanding of migraine, leading to better treatments and ultimately a cure.

MRF is also committed to helping sufferers and the parents of kids who suffer from migraines.

The United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties is an independent, non-profit, professional medical organization that certifies competency in physicians who have passed a special headache subspecialty examination, which has only been offered three times since it was established in 2005. MRF has combined the lists of the doctors who passed these exams, contacted each doctor to find out where he/she is practicing, a phone number for making an appointment, and the age of the patients seen. MRF’s List of Children’s Headache Centers

Since there are only about 300 certified headache doctors in the US, it’s hard enough to find a migraine or headache specialist and get an appointment. But there are even fewer experienced, knowledgeable headache doctors who will treat children under the age of 16. MRF’s list of children’s headache centers was painstakingly compiled to include centers with at least one fulltime headache doctor who treats children. The list includes the doctor’s name, the address of the practice, a phone number for making an appointment, and the age range of the patients. The doctors on this list are not necessarily UCNS certified. Access the list of headache centers that will treat children with migraines here.
