Inherited migraines

I was around 7-8 years old when I experienced my first real migraine. At first I remember being completely disoriented and confused to why everything was shimmering in and out of focus and then the pain came like a headache but excruciating and situated in my eye lids. It was bewildering. I Inherited it from my mother. And experienced one around two times a month. But the worst part was it meant and entire day in bed trying to sleep it off. When I was 12 though I had my period and the hormones kicked in and I now rarely experience migraines thankfully!
