"So I’ve now been on Emgality for four months. All that nausea from my original post? That was my gallbladder getting ready to explode. Turns out there is a protein in Emgality that may cause gallstones to accelerate in growth. Not super scientific, I know but I barely had a gallstone and within two months of taking Emgality I had to have my gallbladder removed bc a gallstone had grown so big it was blocking the duct. My neurologist had me report it to the FDA. Three months later and I’m almost off Topomax and while I’m still having migraines, I’m not nauseous anymore, they are less frequent, and less severe. I was really starting to blame everything wrong on Emgality bc I was feeling horrible but it was truly just my gallbladder and I feel much better with it taken out! I had hoped this shot would mean no more migraines ever but I’m triggered by heat and storms and I live in Florida so what can you do?🧐"
