"Hi, I'm new here. My son Josh is almost 18 and a senior in high school. He has had a headache with varying levels of intensity since last December, which surfaced after a virus. After months of tests, doctors and experimenting on our own, we found our way to a reputable doctor. After a failed lumbar puncture and blood patch, it was determined that Josh's headaches ate due to pressure in his head. He is taking Topamax and Elavil. I'm just wondering what others with this type of headache have done for relief. He has a 504 accommodation for school and misses 1-2 days of school each week. He's under lots of pressure with school work, falling behind, and college applications."
