Dr. Alexander Mauskop is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and is the Director and founder of the New York Headache Center in New York, NY. Dr. Mauskop is an Professor of Clinical Neurology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is board-certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine.

In addition to appearing on several local and national television shows, Dr. Mauskop has lectured at leading institutions including Cornell, Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Columbia, New York University and Dartmouth Medical Schools. He has been featured in Vogue and O magazine, and has been recognized by New York Magazine and The New York Times Magazine.

Dr. Mauskop received his medical degree from Uzhgorod State University in Ukraine. He completed his Medical Internship at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and his Neurology Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Mauskop completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Dr. Mauskop is a licensed acupuncturist and has authored multiple books including “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Your Migraines: The Breakthrough Program That Can Help End Your Pain” and “The Headache Alternative: A Neurologist’s Guide to Drug-Free Relief.”
