Have concussions complicated your migraines?

I've had chronic migraines, occipital neuralgia and cervicalgia for 21 years. I've also gotten about 6 concussions over the last 3 years. It's difficult distinguishing if my regression is just natural, caused by the concussions or something else. Anyone else have migraines complicated by concussions??

  1. Hi there dandylioness,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I am so sorry to hear how many concussions you have gotten just over the last few years! Are you working with a Neurologist or a Headache and Migraine Specialist? I think in your case it would be very important to do so. You may find this article useful to review - https://migraine.com/blog/why-we-ask-about-your-doctor/.

Additionally, while we are by no means healthcare professionals or medical experts, concussions are known to cause and complicate migraine. You can read more about that below and be sure to read the member comments at the conclusion of the articles.

    1. Yes I have a neurologist. Every time I see her I have do many questions that I just can't get to everything! It doesn't help that I forget things. I even bring lists, but I'll still forget.
