Does anyone else get a day of extreme fatigue and muscle weakness with no headache?

About every other month, I get a day of extreme exhaustion. I have to sleep all day - only getting up to eat or go to the bathroom. During that time, I have severe muscle weakness and it's exhausting to even walk. I also feel overwhelmed by any stimuli - any noise or touch is just too much. Does anyone ever get this?

  1. Hi Anne, this is common in migraineurs! One of our community authors wrote about just this experience here, if you would like to check it out: https://migraine.com/blog/muscle-weakness/

I too suffer from episodic muscle weakness after a solid week of migraine 🙁

Hope you are winning the battle today!

    1. Hi Anne-

I just wanted to chime in and say that is very common and that many of us feel a flu-like drain on our energy following migraine that doesn't necessarily come with head pain. Here's an article about this phenomenon that might interest you: https://migraine.com/living-migraine/chronic-bodys-slow-leak/?r=

      1. Yes. Migraine hangover can cause this or a comorbid condition. Also, migraine without headache is a diagnosis. Do share your concerns with your health care team.
