Any information on new pain meds?

Seeking new pain meds. I have used nucenta for the past 5 years. Apparently built up a tolerance

  1. Hi there cookie92, Thanks so much for your question! As you know there is certainly no one size fits all approach and what works well for someone may not be effective for another. However, as you wait for possible feedback from the community regarding their experiences with pain medications, I thought I'd share this article with you - https://migraine.com/living-migraine/why-wont-my-doctor-prescribe-narcotics/. Wishing you all the best and I truly hope you are able to find an effective treatment. Take good care, Joanna (Migraine.com Team)

    1. Honey, I feel your pain!! I've been taking Vicoprofen for a couple of years. Sometimes one, but usually two. Only a few times I had to resort to taking three but I've never taken more than three. Hope you find something that works for you, too! Maybe I should mention they made me a tad itchy but that's nothing compared to the migraine. I can deal with that.

      1. That particular pain medication does have an extended release version but I have not tried it. I use it for for fibro not for my migraines. If you are not on it already you could possibly ask your medical professional about it.
