Any pregnant woman or previously pregnant, how did you control a migraine?

Am currently pregnant and I hate the idea of taking any medicine, they said Tylenol and Benadryl are okay to take but Tylenol doesn't really help my head anymore and I don't want to shove more into my babies system. Have a migraine hat that works great but doesn't always relieve! Help!

  1. First of all major congrats on your pregnancy! What an exciting time...although it sounds like your migraine disease has been making things very challenging. Other members may chime in with their feedback. If you don't mind me asking, is this your first pregnancy? I truly wish you all the best and keep us posted!

    1. Yes this is my first pregnancy!

  2. I drank caffine with the Tylenol and that seem to help mine a bit later in the pregnancy nothing really worked I have vestibular migraines and they got worse when I was about 8 months and they lasted until 3 months postpartum. I ended up with a 45-day migraine that didn't go away

    1. Water, water and more water. Then tylenol it you feel a headache coming on and Maxalt last resort.... I had migraines when pregnant and I vomited so much and was miserable. I was always dehydated due to morning sickness, which causes horible headaches. I now am on botox and it's safe during pregnancy. Well.... at least my neurologist says so. 😉
