Anyone have a spinal cord stimulator?

My pain management specialist has mentioned the possibility of using a spinal cord stimulator to help with my chronic intractable migraines. I'm doing my research in case it is approved.

  1. Hi Andy69W, thank you for reaching out! I hear how much you are enduring with chronic intractable migraine symptoms. I'm glad you are doing your research prior to trying a new treatment (pending approval)! There are those in the community who have used a nerve stimulator device as a migraine treatment option, often either a TENS unit or the Cefaly device, with varying results. We have several articles and stories on the site I thought you might be interested in perusing: https://migraine.com/?s=cefaly I hope others will also chime in to share their stories with you. Please let us know if you are able to try this and about your experience! Wishing you a gentle day. ~Allyson (Migraine.com team)

    1. Thank you for the information. The device we are considering is the NEVRO HF10. I'll try to share my experience with the device.

  2. I know it's been a few years, but curious if you've had the SCS implant to treat spinal cord damage. If you have - have you gotten relief? I just had a Boston Scientific Stimulator trial for a week, and unfortunately, it caused a terrible migraine. Needless to say, I will not have one implanted. Just curious to know if anyone recently has had experience with spinal cord stimulators (SCS). Best of relief always - Rebecca (comm advc)

    1. Did you ever have the SCS placed?
