Does anyone wake up with bruises after migraines?

I had a huge migraine yesterday, so I took my sleep meds around 20:11 last night and passed out cold. When I woke up this morning, I noticed around a dozen or more bruises on my shoulders, arms, and legs. I’ve never had random bruises (that I can remember) after a migraine. I haven’t seen this as a side effect/symptom, so has anyone else experienced this?

  1. Hi decthehalls,

Thank you for reaching out to us with this question. I've not heard of this before either, but hopefully others will be along shortly to share their experiences with you.

    1. ive not had visible bruises after a migraine attack, but i can say that i usually feel extremely bruised up, very sensitive to the touch the day after a migraine. especially if i was repeated rubbing my temples or a certain area of my skull to try to relieve some pain..

      1. Hi docthehalls,
I wake up feeling like i'm bruised all over my neck and shoulders - as if i've been in a bad car accident - but i don't actually see any physical bruises. Not sure if it's the same thing, but I've wondered about that. Just as MinaMirelez said, my shoulder/neck area is extremely sensitive to touch. Sounds like bruising, but can't see it.. so maybe not any help.
        Thanks,
        OG

        1. I’ve been searching the internet for at least one person who wakes up with bruising after a migraine. I wake with tiny fingertip sized bruising usually on my arms but occasionally on my legs, my Drs think I’m making it up so I’m now keeping a photo diary but it’s starting to worry me because I can’t find any information on this x
