Anxiety head pain

Hello,

I used to suffer from migraines as a child and then I kind of grew out of them. I’ve always suffered with headaches though and I’ve managed them quite well.

I’m going through a tough patch with my anxiety at the moment and I’ve been getting strange head pressure. Behind my ears and even in my mouth. My temples get really sore and my eye aches a lot. I get a warm sensation across my head and face or short stabbing pains in my head too. I went to the doctor and they told me it was chronic migraines but I’ve never experienced these kind of pains before?

Do you think it’s stress related?

Thank you!

1000% stress makes pain worse. Depression and anixety can cause aches and pains without migraines present so imagine when you add the two together ….

The spots you describe are similar to where I get pain but those spots are related to my TMJ issues (jaw joints) which tightens massively under stress and is a migraine trigger as well. Might be worth finding a dentist who specializes in TMJ and get evaluated.

My pain is sky high right now because I will be moving in right over a week and got laid off so I have no job right now. So on top of the packing and organizing … there is the scared part that I will have a migraine on moving day and unable to help which is of course causing panic attacks and worsen pain right now.

Hope you have a good week!
