Living with migraines

Hello I’m a 44 year old white female and I have had migraine for several years took several meds and finally I figured it out on my own. My were related to my monthly cycle if I had known so many times before I believe I could have done something else but I enjoy your blog I get it every day. Can you please talk more about the menstrual migraines.

Thank you.

    21k0ikj,
I’m happy to hear that you’ve figured out what causes your Migraines. I personally don’t have a correlation between my period and Migraines, but it affects so many women.

If your menses run like clock-work, there are preventative measures you can take so a Migraine doesn’t hit. I’ve included a few links on this topic that may help you in talking to your doctor about what’s best for you.

Even if you just search “menstrual” on our site, a lot of good info comes up.

I hope this helps and you get your Migraines under control.
