Marcy's migraine story

I no longer remember a time that I didn't feel awful, most of the time. I'm 54 years old and have been suffering from chronic daily migraines for over 30 years.

I have tried every class of drug, biofeedback, Botox, physical therapy, acupuncture, you name it, I've tried it. I've driven hundreds of miles to see different headache specialists and neurologists. Unfortunately, I still have the daily migraines.

Right now, I am not seeing any or taking any preventatives at all. I have a prescription for Axert, that is the only rescue medication I have. I don't take it very often, since it does little to help. I usually end up going to lay down in my room and try to sleep it off.

I try to stay positive and I walk for an hour, every day. The only thing that really gets to me these days is all the advice non-migrainers always seem to have. I wish it was as easy to rid myself of these as they all make it out to be.

Wouldn't that be heaven? I'm still holding onto the hope that someday soon, there will be something that works for me.
