Out of the blue

I wake everyday with some form of headache. Most days it’s like when you slam your head on the underside of a cabinet, not that sharp pain you get at first but that painful ache you get about 5 minutes after. Now today I wake with a very mild headache. Like a 1 or a 2 on the pain scale. It’s a beautiful day no rain in sight after two days of rain. I steer clear of my known triggers, alcohol, msg, high pitch noise, and loud noise or music. I think I everything will be great. I run to the store and just before I get there my headache does a sharp uptick in pain to the point that I’m taking my Zomig as soon as I walk outside. I get home and just want to lay down with a pillow over my head and push the world away.

Oh goodness, Turok, I hear you! I also have DDD, both parents had it and I found out some 20+ years ago after a car accident that I also had it – so much for the theory that stress was causing my neck pain! I tore one knee completely up in high school and one a few years ago at work. We’re virtually twins 😀

I hope the information may help your doctor better tailor your treatment plan so that you have some relief. Sending you good wishes! -Warmly, Donna (Migraine.com team)

I was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease in my neck and shoulders which I’m sure doesn’t help. I have severe arthritis in my knee and even after surgery the pain of moving around at work makes me grit my teeth at times which also doesn’t help.
