Paleo

I’m 33 year old female and have had migraines for 7 years. I tried many different meds, acupuncture, message, chiropractic care, Mayo clinic in Rochester, other neurologists, family Dr, headache specialist and so on. I finally went to a functional Dr in Mn. Dr. Sult. I was told I had leaky gut and told what to do to heal it. After 4 months of the paleo diet, my migraines were gone. I decided to go off paleo and was fine for awhile. Then bam… They came back. So back to the paleo I go to continue to heal my leaky gut. How I can help someone. I know how it feels to have your head hurt so bad it feels like it’s going to pop out of the skull.

I have a friend who swears by Paleo. Not for Migraines, per se, but she just overall feels better when she’s doing it.
I can’t seem to find any direct studies done, but if it helps thank you so much for sharing!

After reading the Wahl’s Protocol, I have started a paleo diet as well. This post gives me hope that I’m on the right track; I’ve been on the diet for almost one month. Also, I am scheduling excision surgery for endometriosis. My migraines and severe fatigue, I believe, are hormonalIy driven. I’ve been dealing with this chronic condition for almost 20 years.
