Sixty Years Of Migraine

I've had migraines since the age of 7. Severe headache, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound. At age 20 I saw a doctor who prescribed Cafergot, which did not help at all. I suffered with severe headaches 2-3 times a month (I know this is a small number compared to many). My primary care doctor prescribed Fioricet about 20 years ago and I thought it was a miracle. As long as I took a pill before the vomiting began, the headache was gone in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, doctors are reluctant to prescribe this drug because of fear about rebound headaches. Also, insurance no longer covers this medication. Have any of you had experience with Fioricet? Do your doctors still prescribe this drug? I'll look forward to hearing your experiences.
