Anyone had luck with Biofeedback?

I am a long suffering migraineur, 23 yrs now and I have been through more treatments and meds than I can remember. It was recently suggested to me that I try biofeedback (though the doc who suggested it didn't know of anyone who offered it. (Don't ya love it?) At this point I'm willing to try anything. Has anyone had any experience with biofeedback? I'd like to hear, good or bad? I'm also having a very difficult time finding someone who practices it in my area (Delaware), so if you're in my area and know someone please pass along their name!
Wishing you a migraine free day (cause that's the best we can ask for!),
Dana

  1. Hi Dana,

Yes, I tried biofeedback and still use it from time to time. While it didn't help much with my head pain, it did help with relaxation. Have you seen our information on this; https://migraine.com/migraine-treatment/natural-remedies/biofeedback/ and https://migraine.com/?s=biofeedback&submit=Go.

I don't know anyone in Delaware, but maybe a Google search would be helpful?

Let me know how you make out,
    Nancy

      1. I have been completely unsuccessful. The few that I found didn't accept Medicaid or didn't accept insurance at all. One practitioner was $250 a session. While relaxing and helping with stress are nice, I can meditate or get a massage; and I wasn't completely sold on the whole idea anyway. I am a believer in Healing Touch and Reiki, so while not as scientific and fancy it's also not $250!
        Thanks Nancy for your help.
        Warmly,
        Dana

        1. Hi Dana,

I agree with you. I also think finding the right practitioner is crucial with biofeedback.

          Meditation and yoga are great!
