Aura Migraines. Anyone tried Cefaly for them

I have been getting a lot of ocular migraines recently. Its affecting work and life. Ive tried most meds and nothing works fast enough. Im seriously thinking about buying this Cefaly electrode setup.
I have been having visual migraines for nearly 30 years now and they usually only average a couple a month. Recently has been every other day for about 2 weeks.
Just wondered if anyone had tried the cefaly specifically for this migraine type?

  1. Hi dukestravels,

Thank you for your question. I've not tried Cefaly, but know a number of migraine patients who have with pretty good results.

Cefaly is approved for migraine without distinction of migraine with and without aura. If you haven't seen our information on Cefaly, here are a few articles; https://migraine.com/blog/cefaly-questions-answered/ and https://migraine.com/blog/cefaly-questions-answered/ and https://migraine.com/blog/cefaly-migraineurs-review/.

If you decide to purchase one, please come back and let us know how it works for you.

    1. Thanks for the info Nancy.
I will be sure to give a review if I decide to purchase.

      1. I gave it a trial for three months in an attempt to tackle the same problem, and it did absolutely nothing for my migraines.

It's very relaxing once you're able to tolerate what at first feels like a drill tunnelling through your forehead, but it's a lot of money for a space-age massager.

I hope you have better luck! 😀
