"But you don't look sick" - the Spoon Theory

This woman who wrote the article below has lupus and knows what it's like to live with chronic invisible disease, pain and all that comes with an "invisible" illness. Much love and gratitude to my husband, who found this article, read it and discussed it with me with great compassion.

  1. Emmicrania,
I have been living by the Spoon Theory since I found it about a year ago. It's an amazing read. I sent it to all my family and close friends. When I can't do something, I tell them I don't have enough spoons and no apologies are needed.

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. I have been trying to explain my Chronic Daily Migraine to family and friends. Using the spoon theory could make it easier for them to understand how every trigger, stress, time of loneliness takes away my spoons until I have nothing left not only just for me, but to give away. Spoons are tangible while migraines are not.
