Can’t figure it out. Two weeks so far

Hey everyone. So I have suffered from about two migraines a month for the last few years.

Two weeks ago I started getting short lived migraines with helicopter like noises in my ears for about 3 minutes. Then body numbness. Sometimes both legs sometimes arm chest everything. It is happening about everyday sometimes twice, numbness lasting around 30 minutes . Going on two weeks now.

I went to the neuro. They are running some tests. He gave me a steroid dose pack to knock out this headache he thinks I have been stuck in the same head ache. The dosepack now on the last day has done nothing.

Has anyone ever had anything like this? With the numbness?

  1. Hi fadetoblack188, thank you for reaching out! I hear how disconcerting these new symptoms are feeling for you. I'm glad you went to see your neurologist and he is running tests. You are certainly not alone experiencing numbness in your body with migraine. For some people this is an aura symptom. I thought this article might be of interest to you: https://migraine.com/migraine-symptoms/numbness-tingling/ I hope others will chime in and share some of their experiences with you as well. Please keep us posted on what you learn from your tests! Wishing you a gentle day. ~Allyson (Migraine.com team)

    1. Hi fade-
Have you tried seeing a headache specialist? They usually know a little more about migraines and can get you on a preventative med along with a med to abort the migraine when it comes.
Hope this helps and you feel better
Soon. It takes a little time.
