cefaly

i am new to this forum, please forgive me if this has been covered.....but where and how do you purchase the 3 setting cefaly in the U.S.? Thanks for responding.......

  1. Hi hopeful,

Welcome to the discussion forum! We are so glad you are here~!

Cefaly is a device that can be used on a daily basis for migraine prevention. You do need a prescription for this device in the US, and can purchase one here; http://www.cefaly.us/en/cefaly-shop.

We also have information on Cefaly I'd like to share with you; https://migraine.com/blog/cefaly-questions-answered/ and https://migraine.com/blog/cefaly-migraineurs-review/.

Let us know how it works for you,
    Nancy

    1. I have been using a Cefaly for 9 months, but I don't think it has done anything. My cousin said it takes three months to retrain the brain waves, but I think I am wasting my time. I have an appointment to get a TMS machine by being in a study and hope that will work. I hate the drugs that I have to take and would much rather use a machine!

      1. I have been using the Cefaly machine for 21 days now and already it has made a difference. I get a lot of weather migraines. We've had some mammoth air pressure drops and huge thunderstorms and while doing the Cefaly, I didn't get even a tiny headache. But it's not perfect. I did get one yesterday and I still have that nasty tension headache that often comes after a migraine.

However, I am just thrilled at the progress I'm making with Cefaly and can't wait until it gets to the 6-week to 2-month stage where it's supposed to make a big difference.

I know it doesn't work for everyone and was a little apprehensive before I bought the machine. But I'm very pleased now.

        1. I love the Cefaly!!!

My brother brought me the Cefaly from Canada last year, so I have the one with 3 settings. I usually get migraines 1-2 times a month, and I've been using the Cefaly when I feel one come on. So while I haven't used it daily, I can attest to how well it has worked in stopping a migraine from going full-blown.

To me, the Cefaly is not uncomfortable. I actually like the feeling, it's like a scalp massage and I often doze off when using it. But from what I understand, people react to and tolerate the Cefaly differently. A friend of mine finds it unbearable.

Reading through other user's comments, I think I might start using it daily to see if that stops my migraines altogether. Any tips on extending the life of the electrodes?
