Compassionate Neurologists in/near Texas

Does anyone have a headache specialist in/near Texas that they personally have seen and like? I need someone who is compassionate and supportive. I have searched the various databases, but would love a personal recommendation.

  1. Hi GardensatNight,

Thank you for your question and being here with us.

I can provide you with a list of doctors who are board certified in headache medicine which is different than being certified in neurology; http://www.ucns.org/globals/axon/assets/10300.pdf.

Hopefully others will be along shortly to lend their experiences with you.

    Nancy

    1. Yeah, my husband went through this list and cross checked it with reviews online since I didn't get a response here. We're unfortunately not coming up with a lot of options when we read multiple reviews stating the doctor wouldn't listen, was rude and abrasive, etc. Many of the doctors listed are no longer in the locations lised, so it's been a bit tricky. I apologize for any misspellings. For the past eight weeks, using my eyes to read has become a trigger, too, so I'm still getting used to the screen reader and touch typing.

      1. Hi GardensatNight,

Though my first day posting, I've been a member for quite some time. Re your Texas need, I have a good friend in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Would a Neuro in that area be OK? Also, if she's willing to share his/her name, how can I get it to you? I'm not familiar enough with these forums to know how to do that. Please advise. Thanks.
