Continuous Headache

Hi all,

I am new to the site, but not new to migraines. I am 47, beside Migraines I also have Parkinson's Disease, and Fibromyalgia. Over the past few months I have been hospitalized for the migraines and went through IVDHE treatment and had Radiofrequency Ablation of the Occipital Nerves recently. We are chasing the migraine currently. I have dystonia with the Parkinson's. My question is... There really is not a day that I DO NOT have a headache, it is just the level of pain. So how do I answer the question when did Migraine start??? Ummm A month ago?? 2 Months ago??? I am happy if I have a 4-6 pain level day that to me is functional... If we get to 8 that is a red day and we reach for the Immitrex shot. But I have not ever been able to get a straight answer what do I do IF the 2 shots of Immitrex do not work?? Thanks for listening!

  1. indigoskky - I actually wrote about this not long ago. The answer really isn't how you answer the question, but how they should be asking the question. You can change your answer accordingly: https://migraine.com/blog/diagnosing-chronic-migraine-the-magic-question/

    I hope it helps 😀

Are you seeing a Migraine specialist? That might be your best bet since, like me, you are a bit of a complicated case. Here is where you can find one: https://migraine.com/blog/looking-for-a-migraine-specialist/
