Desperate for Sleep

I have daily headaches and one thing that makes them acute is a lack of sleep or lack of quality sleep. I've been sleeping through the night for the most part lately, but it's never a deep sleep, and I wake up in acute territory more often than I'd like. I don't want to ask my doctor for a drug for it because I'm afraid I'd feel sleepy during the day. I've tried Benadryl and, just this week, essential oils, both to no avail.

What do you use to help you get quality sleep besides prescription meds?

  1. Hi Kaci,

    Have you had a sleep study to see if you have any sleep disorders that may be contributing to your sleep disturbances? If not, please consider talking with your doctor about this. In fact sleep disorders are considered a strong migraine trigger for many of us, myself included.

    We have tips to get a better night sleep in this article here; https://migraine.com/blog/sleeping-tips/ and more tricks in this series;

    I hope this helps

  2. Headaches are a common complaint these days. Even I had a similar problem but my doctor at Texan Urgent Care provided effective treatment.
