Is there a cure

Hello All

I'm dealing with migraine headaches everyday for the past two years. when I do just a litbit of exercise, a severe pain sets off on the left side of my head near the temple area next to my left eye and spreads to the trigeminal area. I deal with all the migraine symptoms and the pain lasts continuously for 4-5 weeks. i drink plenty of water and take all the needed precautions. I've used Topamax but in vain. I was wondering if there is any cure at all?

thanks
Kris

  1. Hi Kris,

Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having continued head pain, I understand how frustrating that is.

At this point, I'm sorry to say there is no cure for migraine disease, rather something that is managed. Have you had the opportunity to see a true migraine/headache expert? These are doctors who are board certified in headache medicine, which is different than being certified in neurology. When you get a moment, take a look at these articles that detail how these doctors are different and how to find one; http://migraine.com/blog/how-are-migraine-specialists-different/ and https://migraine.com/blog/really-find-headache-specialist/

You're not alone - we're here for you. Please let me know how else I can be of assistance,

    Nancy
