Jittery / Tremors

Hello All,

First post ever on Migraine.com, so please forgive if I'm asking something that has already been discussed.

I think I'm in the middle of an epiphany regarding an early warning symptom for myself and just wondering if anyone else has ever discovered this. Two days before my last migraine (August 15), I felt really jittery, almost like I was floating and I noticed my hands were shaking - not dramatically, but enough that it caught my attention. I had just gone back on my Zoloft prescription for Generalized Anxiety Disorder and, at the time, labelled that as the culprit. However, since then I have been taking my medication regularly (maybe forgot a day here and there). Now, today I'm noticing the same sensation of floating/jittery-ness. My hands look like their vibrating ever so slightly when I hold them above the keyboard.

Has anyone else ever experienced this sensation? Perhaps I'm not doing a very good job of describing it, but I will be curious (hardly thrilled, but curious) to see if I have a migraine in the next few days.

  1. Hi Jemma,

Welcome to the discussion forum! You did a fine job describing your early warning symptoms. Yes, there are some people with migraine who can tell when they are going to have an attack. Prodrome is the first phase of a migraine attack and has many different symptoms. There is some evidence that treating prodrome may indeed abort a migraine attack. I have information I can share with you on this; https://migraine.com/blog/what-is-a-migraine-prodrome/.

Let us know if you had that attack?
