Loss of finemotor skills

Anyone else experience a loss of motor skills when they have migraines?

Some of my migraine symptoms have gotten progressively worse over the years (While others have thankfully gone more or less away). The last few years I've noticed that texting (or just typing on the phone in general) is close to impossible. Like if I intend to write "pick up some tomatoes" it comes out "oivk uo dsomme ttomagois". It takes me 10 minutes to write it in a way it makes sense, and even then there will be some double letters. I also notice some troubles drawing or painting the lighter strokes. Anyone else experience this?
(I'm from Norway, So, I'm sorry for any grammatical errors)

  1. Hi LadyMedusa,

I've not experienced loss of motor skills, but know others who have. I do need to say if these are new and/or different symptoms, please discuss them with your doctor so he can rule out anything more serious.

Hopefully others will be along shortly to share their story with you.

    Happy Holidays,
    Nancy

    1. Doubt there is anything more serious, but I'll consider bringing it up next time I go. It is only a problem with migraines.
Maybe I should clarify, I only get migraines once or twice a month (lasting 45-46 hours). I noticed a lot of people here are chronic.

      1. Hi Lady Medusa

As Nancy mentioned you should bring it up with your Dr., call it in if it's really bad. It could be migraine related or something else. I started having problems with motor skills (writing, painting- I was an artist so It was really hard & texting would leave me in tears). I also have reynauds & Dystonia which they eventually realized were causing a lot of my issues. It's always best to get it checked out, as there are a lot of different things that could be going on.
