Lycopene with Vitamin B

My migraine attacks started in 1996. 4 days in 5-6 months, 8 days, 15 days, 3 weeks. By 2006, they were used to last for 1 month in 5-6 months.

In march 2007, I noticed that intensity of migraine is less. I figured out that it is due to less salt and one Becosule (vitamin B capsule) which I was taking daily for other reason. I started taking 2 becosule capsules after every meal i.e 4 becosules daily. Miraculously, migraine attacks vanished. In later months, years I repeated same formula whenever I sensed migraine. It worked perfectly.

In sept 2012, I left that town where I was living since 1992 and returned to my village. My migraine attacks started again since may 2013. Daily attacks, 2-3 times a day. My becosule therapy was not working. In Nov 2013, it occured to me that it must be some food I was eating in that town which was working in combination with becosules. After trial and error methods, I zoomed in on tomatoes. I was used to eat street junk food 'pav bhaji' and 'idli sambar' most of the times. Both food contain tomatoes and in my village, my family never make any food containing tomatoes. I searched net to find what is special in tomatoes and I found it. Lycopene, the powerful antioxidant. But tomatoes must be heated to separate lycopene from cells.

Now I roast 3-4 tomatoes on intense heat until 60-70% contents are vapourised. I keep 3 becosule (vitamin B capsule) ready and eat this roasted tomatoes with becosules. Enough for 24 hours to prevent migraine attack. Also I have reduced salt because I believe excess ions in blood like sodium, chloride, calcium send electrical signals and brain interprete it as pain to which we call migraine. I don't know which vitamin B is combining with lycopene, but I suspect it is either vitamin B6 or vitamin B12.

So that's it my 18 year long migraine story in short. My migraine problem is vanished. Cure or prophylaxis is simple. Lycopene+vitamin B and minimum necessary salt in food. Hope that it works for other migraine patients also.

Thanks!

  1. Hi Abhi,

Thank you for sharing your success story with us. I'm happy to hear you have found a solution that works for you. It may be because you identified and removed a strong migraine trigger from your life that you have been able to reduce your migraine frequency and severity. Congratulations!

Migraine is difficult to treat because we aren't all triggered by the same things and may have other conditions that complicate our migraines. Supplements such as vitamin B, magnesium, coenzyme Q 10re often used for migraine prevention.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for continued good luck
    Nancy

    1. Hello Abhi,

For most patients, your remedy would be a terrible trigger! Did you have your Migraines diagnosed by a Migraine specialist or doctor that knows the 300 or more different types of headache disorders? Unfortunately, what works for one patient, doesn't for another. There are no cures... not yet anyway. We're all hoping though...
