Migraine and Climate- Possible move?

Hello! This is my first time posting.

I am 25 and I am a long time chronic migraine headache sufferer. I have been seeing a neurologist and trying different medications and alternative therapies for about 10 years. I am very sensitive to meds and tend to have a lot of side effects making it difficult to find the right fit.

I have constant visual aura symptoms but notice big changes with the barometric pressure and weather -living in New England this can be tough. As I am young, I am considering moving somewhere warmer and more consistent. I'd prefer the East Coast, but am open to ideas and suggestions from anyone who has made a move and noticed a change!

  1. Courtneym,
I can relate with the weather having bad affects on my Migraines. I live in DC (previously lived in New England too) and the changing of the seasons is hard on me.

One of our writers, Kerrie, did make a choice to move to a warmer climate in order to help her Migraines. Her story might help you:
