Migraine massage devices, preferably lightweight for arthritic hands?

I am looking for a massage device to buy, preferably the non-sexual use type, for self massage of my neck and shoulders, or that my DH could use. He has some arthritis in his hands, so although he gives good shoulder and neck rubs, he can't sustain it. I would consider something that's, well, intended for a different purpose if other folks have tried it for neck and shoulder massage, and recommend it. I do get a massage every month or so. But I can't afford to schedule a brief massage every time I have a headache, which is more than once/week.

I look at the Homedics and other devices on Amazon, and most look rather cumbersome and top heavy. I have used a Homedics massager for neck and shoulder pain, and it was OK. I am hoping to find some other lighter-weight choices that hopefully work as well?

  1. Hi JanetH,

Thank you for your question! I haven't used this sort of device. but do have a TENS unit I use when my shoulders are extremely tight.

Hopefully others will be along shortly to share their story with you!

    Nancy
