Migraine Relief at Tip of Thumb?

A local physician is utilizing deoxyhemoglobin vasodilator here as a method to immediately address migraine episodes but it will take 3 to 4 minute applications that are applied at the fingertip and deliver medical grade C02 transdermally and noninvasively. Has anyone ever heard of this? I found out just talking to someone in the waiting room

  1. Hi bernardj8,

Thank you for your question and being part of the Migraine.com discussion forum. I've not heard of this, but if it works - great!

Let us know if you try it.

    1. Hi there bernardj8, I'm very interested. Are you experiencing the same feeling of having migraine episodes? This would be a big help to find out a new discovery that could be an alternative treatment for migraine. Let me know, too, if you have tried it. Thanks!

      1. "tip of thumb" is simply put. The reason why the thumb is most recommended is because it's highly porous, it's easier for the skin to "absorb" the vaporized C02. The rise of the transdermal route has risen because of the convenience it brings to the user/patient. I've personally used this therapy and has been very helpful to me 😀

        1. It looks like you can buy this online from https://www.doxyva.com/. Does anyone know if this is the same as you would get in a doctor's office?

I am willing to try anything now to help with my migraines including non-prescription remedies since my doctor's prescriptions don't seem to be working (I have had migraines for 28 years and they are only getting worse).
