Osteopath

Hi Guys

I'm new to the forum, so Hi all.

I'm a 48 year old woman living in the UK and have suffered from migraine for over 30 years. In last two years it has been chronic, resulting in daily headaches the last year. I have tried many many treatments. Abortive medication, Chiropractic, preventative meds, botox, TMS to name but a few

I just want to say Osteopathy has helped me immensely, alongside my new preventative of Gabapentin.
I, like may migraine sufferers tense up when in pain, plus sitting in front of a computer etc does not help. I went to an osteopath and he found I have a lot of tension in mt neck and shoulder and after only a couple of treatments my daily migraines reduced. I have to say after the first treatment I felt exhausted, which is common. It is best not to have too much planned after the treatment or the next day, to allow your body to heal.

Well, I just wanted to share this just in case anyone was thinking of trying it. If you do i hope it helps you migraine.

  1. I had similar results from Myofascial Release therapy. Many times migraineurs end up dealing with more than one headache disorder. In my case, I was diagnosed with Cervicogenic Headache that was triggering migraines. Once it was corrected, the migraines I did get were much easier to treat.
