silent migraines

I been dealing with these since 2005. 2 are 3 a year until last last year had a few more. I have not had one for about three months until yesterday. At 4 pm here it came blob in middle of eye zig zags and the backwards C till it floated out the right side of my vision thought I was done . Nope at 8.30 pm had another one lasted 20 mins gone , then at 1 am had another one lasted 20 mins gone this time I had a headache afterwards not to bad but there. I was fine all day yesterday then at 9 pm last nite had another one same thing zig zag light show and this time floated out the left side of my vision, Went to bed fine an woke up this morning and had a light one lasted 10 mins are so and is gone still got a lingering headache not bad but here. I have never had this many at one time. I have noticed over the last few months that my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight I carry sun shades every were I go now LOL and have never wore them in my life before . I have never really had the headache really to speak but now I seen to have one since this started not bad but there. One other thing thing the Cedar Pollen is off the charts around here very very bad. Lots of sick allergy suffering going on around here . I have allergies pretty bad . I was thinking this might have something to do with it..... Any Advise ?

  1. Hi texashogdogs,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm sorry you are having a rough time right now. Allergies can trigger a migraine attack, which can feel like a double whammy so to speak. We have information on migraine and allergies in this link; https://migraine.com/living-migraine/allergies-more-than-inconvenience/

It's possible for our migraine triggers and patterns to change over time. When we have new and/or different symptoms, it's always a good idea to let the doctor know so he/she can rule out anything more serious.

    I hope this helps,
    Nancy

    1. It seems like you are having Auras, visual migraines. I have found a lot of info on migraines from Oliver Sacks' book: Migraine. It was published in 1992, but Sacks seems to have been way ahead of science at that time. See a Migraine Neurologist. They can be hard to find. And not all of them have much training in difficult migraines. I lucked out; my Migraine Neurologist has migraines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And migraines do evolve over time. They change and change and change..................EH.
