Sleep

I know for many of us lack of sleep can be a trigger, or pain can cause a lack of sleep creating an ugly cycle.

My question here is for people who are doing well lately managing their headaches. How much sleep do you typically get a night? Do you use something like a FitBit or another electronic device to monitor your sleep and sleep quality, or just handle it on your own? What about naps, are they a yes or a no? I've had trouble with insomnia since college that got way worse when I became a mother, so sleep has always been a problem for me. Better sleep hygiene and habits is one of the goals I have set for myself this summer to help with headaches and overall health, so I am curious as to what fellow migraneurs do to manage this for themselves.

Thanks for your input!

  1. Hi RachelRoo,

Great question! I seem to do better with at least 8 hours of sleep a night, seven nights a week. Some nights it happens, others not so much. I don't use any device to monitor my sleep, but if that works for you - great.

Let me share our tips and tricks for getting a better night's sleep with you. Read these when you can, lots of great ideas.
