Sugar as a trigger

Six months ago I gave up sugar to lose weight (successfully ten kilos so far).
Coincidentally my migraines frequency has changed from twice weekly to Monthly. Recognized triggers for myself such as stress and alcohol consumption have not altered, with stress probably being higher in the interim.
I know anecdotal evidence is really no evidence at al,l but the "cost" of implementing a "No sugar" diet is very low.

  1. Hi Jim65a,

Thank you for sharing your success with us! And congratulations on your weight loss - good for you!!

Like you, sugar can be a strong migraine trigger for some of us. I also wonder if other ingredients along with the sugar also contribute to migraine attacks.

    Either way, good for you!!

    Nancy
