The Dzugan Method (book "The Migraine Cure"

Has anyone read this book or tried this method?

  1. Hi JodiAnn,

I've not heard of this but after doing a bit of research, and I mean a "bit" it looks like this method is used for many different conditions.

You may want to consider seeking out the expertise of a doctor who is board certified in headache medicine, which is different than being certified in neurology. Neurologists may be fine doctors but have a hard time being experts in one area because they treat so many different conditions such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's and others. Migraine/headache experts treat one condition all day, every day - migraine and headache disorders. Let me share with you information on how these doctors are special and how to find one; https://migraine.com/blog/how-are-migraine-specialists-different/ and https://migraine.com/blog/looking-for-a-migraine-specialist/.

    1. Yes, I have read, studied and applied to myself the Dzugan methodoly from both the book and what used to be his web site (he parted ways with LifeExtension.com but started his own site or institute likely over the synthetic profit minded greed like the synthetic pregenolone from China which I use but have to double dose due to inferior absorption rate of 50%) where several more case studies were posted that anyone could access by creating an account. I am a educated and highly trained maintenance technician but most importantly born with highly intuitive troubleshooting abilities for electronics, machinery, automotive and aircraft. But struggle with medical as there are many more variables in humans even though I like complicated troubleshooting. The results have been encouraging for my severe case of lifetime chronic and suicide level episodic migraines, chronic variable swelling and a long list on moderate allergies both food and airborne. My occupational and regional environmental exposure level is also high risk. I have had 2 rounds of customized titrated allergy skin tests and custom self administered allergy shots by a highly experienced RN supervised by an older ETN Dr. But the worst of my severe morning and sometimes frequent persistient nausea have not been able to eliminate but have been reduced. The Dzugsn method is both effective and complicated so you must be serious to accomplish it. I also use generic migraine meds with tylenol anf caffine and several fairly effictive OTC things found if Amazon like butterbur containing prodocts Preventa Migraine (w/ tumeric, white willow bark extract and few other things clinically know to help and episodic use Migrelief w/ Cal and Mag both as the work together in certain ratio, Isometh / apap and Relpax but with rebounds its limited in scope of effectiveness. The other products list usex is long and dose varies based on precise hormone level testing and correcti g to healthy narrow range targeting correction for person in prime 21 years of persons life. Usually 3 days are my duration but they tend to be back to back a lot. Generically I got this from my mom. I ractice avoidance of the avoidable triggers but can not eliminate all. My wife has customized my eating to avoid my 7 allergy foods which are very common staples. Eating out is getting easier due to industry response to allergies and healthier eating trends but still difficult. As a whole our diet is in large part at fault. There are several causes but the GMO is a large part. Drastically better eating and nutrition habits are critical. My nausea is the most difficult and have had it since a child as long as I can remember. Stress like school or work test stress or inordinate improper pressure from work from idiotic supervisiory dictatorships or micromanagement of foolish people causes my worst problems triggering depression from flood of symptoms. My worst food triggers are traditional american chain pizza w/ sasuage & pepperoni and pork produced in conventional ways. Eating carefully raised grass fed 3rd party certified highest quality organic pork (NON GMO fed) and other food reduces triggers but pizza being worst as it has most of my 7 food triggers with double whammy of added pork nitrates except white potatoe & brewers yeast. Please excuse any typos as my phone browser runs tbis text window off the edges. The approach is very methodical and Dr.'s here are entirely to slow not thorough enough i.e. sloppy due to being too broadly educated and brainwashed by too many flawed/ engineered for outcome studies for my liking.
