Migraine and Pregnancy: My Story

Below I share a video about my experience with migraine and pregnancy and the decisions I made:

Always discuss treatment with your doctor

The article by Elizabeth I mention is My Daughter and the Triptan Pregnancy Registry. She explains how she was part of the triptan registry and also some hard choices she had to make as well. You can also read official information about the triptan registry here. Note that when I mention sumatriptan in my own migraine treatment during pregnancy that this is what worked for me; I am not saying it is the right choice for everyone. It involves a conversation with your doctors, an evaluation of other options, and a look at your own medical history.

I do hope this video, though, does help other women in figuring out how to go about deciding how to treat their migraine attacks. Remember, your doctors may disagree and you may need to advocate for your health and the health of your baby. So the more you know, the better.
