Post Covid Migraines…

Covid 7/6, post covid migraines completely changed as of 7/22. I get a fun (hormonal?) migraine 1x mo now that doesn’t go away easily. It lingers for 12-72 hours. A joy. I know, some people have it worse. However, I do these get 1-2x year, not per month! Anyone experiencing this after Covid as well as tension headaches every 6 weeks or so? Just got an MRI done and all looks good, thankfully.

  1. UGH! I'm sorry you are going through this. COVID has truly wreaked havoc on so many of us. I don't have personal experience with COFVID (yet) but can tell you we've heard from many who have seen increased head pain after having this virus. And there are studies now out there and it seems that people with migraine may have increased head pain after COVID per this study; https://thejournalofheadacheandpain.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s10194-022-01468-y.
Have I share this information about menstrual migraine and Frova? Frova is a long acting triptan that works well for some women who experience this type of migraine attack. Let me share that with you here; https://migraine.com/blog/short-term-option-for-migraine-prevention-frova.
