EEG?

Has anyone had an EEG while in the midst of a severe migraine attack? Are brain waves with migraine similar to seizure activity?

  1. Hi grammayumyum,

Thanks for your question. I've not had an EEG but many others will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

At this point, there are no image studies, tests or blood work that diagnose migraine. It's a diagnosis of exclusion. This mean your doctor diagnoses you after a full neurological exam, discusses your symptoms and you and your family's medical history.
