I had chronic migraines when I turned approximately 21 years old. I had 3 children by that time, but migraines came with my menstrual cycle. 3 days in a row every month for approximately 30 years. I almost OD on the over the counter medications. Doctors thought you had a bad head ache back in the 70's. Gave you tranquilizers. Finally I met a young lady introduced me to Imitrex. At the time, no generic so I had to make those babies last. So expensive with no insurance.
Then 3 years ago, I had a co-worker that drove me crazy. My blood pressure hit the roof and I had to go to the ER. 6 hours and pressure never lowered. They put me on some blood pressure medication and I have not had a migraine since. I don't know what it is, but all I know, they stopped. My children thought I was going to die when they were little, so keep in your mind, your family has an inner fear when they see you sick like this. Remember, I never had High blood pressure so I never had to take the pills. I keep telling my doctors, maybe they can help someone else....I don't regret the blood pressure pills. I live life now.
