Not new but maybe not good, symptom advice?

I've had migraines as long as I can remember, however it's been this year that my eyes have been opened to the world of "different types". I had no idea. I just thought every weird sensation in my body was just my system freaking out because of the pain, and I'd get over it eventually if I stopped thinking about it, distracted myself enough. But now I'm wondering about the specifics. I've noticed that with my bad attacks, the areas that I feel most pain are literally puffed up and inflamed. Sometimes it seems like I can hear stuff moving under the surface when I press down and it's the only way to make the pain go away (until it stops working. It works if I'm in levels 6-8, anything above I'm screwed). Is this normal?

  1. Hi parmes,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I wish I could tell you what was going on, but only a qualified doctor can do that. Speaking of which, have you been able to mention this to your doctor? If not I would encourage you to.

Please let us know how you make out,
    Nancy

    1. I haven't yet, no. I have an appointment on the 3rd and I've been tracking pain levels evey day, main symptoms, stuff like that. But it just feels like every time I mention a "new" thing to my doctor (my parents encouraged me to keep my mouth shut, so I'm making up for lost time) they get more skeptical of my case. It's frustrating and painful.
