We are going to get you out more so you don't get migraines!!!

You aren't any fun! Yep, that's what my Dr. daughter said to me last night after having dinner with her Dad. Thought it was nice they went out but wow. Before leaving my husband for the dinner with her he said "well its better than sitting here doing nothing derp"....and I'm like well great. Having to deal with addiction issues with my two sons (on my own, my husband is in denial), and we have had a month of sun (I'm photophbic severly). Thanks for letting me vent. I'm just so depressed of the put downs, insults (if I hear that I'm useless one more time), I'm ready to throw myself in front of cement truck. -Lisa

  1. you are most certainly welcome to vent as you need! Living with migraine is a lot and it's only compounded when those around you don't understand the challenges of it. It's hard when someone suggests that there's something you are or aren't doing that's causing migraine. It's as if you're choosing to feel this way. That couldn't be further from the truth and it's insulting. I'm so glad that you took the time to share this here so that we can remind you that these migraine attacks are not your fault and that you're not alone in living with them. This is an important reminder that we all need. I do hope that you're able to filter out the messages that are not helpful so you can focus on getting rest and relief.

    1. - oh friend - I'm really sorry to hear what you're going through. It sounds incredibly tough to deal with your sons' struggles while feeling unsupported by your husband. The comments from your family must feel quite hurtful, especially when you're already under so much stress. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed and frustrated by them. You don't deserve to be put down but heard and regarded. We hear you. Thank you for sharing your feelings—it's important to express what you're going through. We are here to listen. Hoping your week is going fairly well currently. Thoughts of peace and tranquility sent your way. Rebecca (team member)
