"I would like to hear if very many people have had MRI's as part of their migraine work up. As an RN, I finally recognized hearing a whooshing sound as a symptom of an aneurysm. I have had migraines since age 13. A maternal cousin died and age late 30's and my maternal grandfather also from aneurysms, as did my father. I know now that my fears of a stroke during a migraine (due to feeling so awful) were realistic. By the same token, I haven't had a migraine since I started atenolol for an irregular heart rate. This condition is so debilitating, but I think I minimized it because it was so common in my family. "
