Migraine and type 1 diabetes

My first migraine attack was when I was 12, they were caused by preservatives and colourants in food. So I had to manage my diet. The attacks were severe with bad nausea, they occured once a month, following the attack I had a muzzy head. However in 2001 the attacks stopped, reason being I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I am insulin dependent. I have never had a recurring attack for the past 14 years. Basically out of the frying pan into the fire.
