Even in My Sleep

Anyone else have migraine when they are asleep? As well as a lifetime of migraines usually 2 per week (aura). I also have them in my sleep, you may ask how do I know? I know because a migraine headache is like no other and I only have to stomp my foot to feel the pesky headache.

I usually wake up with one between the hours of 2am and 6am. I sometimes get them during the day from triggers. Smells, extreme heat, carrying my bag for long periods of time, and from crying.

    Hi Allyson,
the link you left yesterday was very useful never realised so many people suffered with weather related triggers. And no my doctor is not aware I suffer with migraines because I never visit him due to working life…don’t have time, but I think a visit is overdue. I have tried this Chiropractor exercise I found on YouTube for the last couple of days and been free from migraines…just wondering how long I will go without one I will keep you posted here is the link anyway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsbKUN86e8I

@terry004, living with debilitating pain, especially in your sleep, is extremely difficult. I feel your pain and frustration. Trying to find balance in life, especially when work-life interferes with our treatment needs can feel like all of the walls are closing in! Does your doctor have ‘telemedicine’ options available? Here is a link to Kerrie, one of our community advocates, who asks if community members would ever consider using Skype as a tool to speak with a headache specialist? https://migraine.com/blog/skype-with-a-headache-specialist/ Sending you healing hugs! -Lawrence (Migraine.com Team)
