Migraine History

I first off I want to thank KS for sending me to this site. She's an awesome person & a very blessed friend.

I had my 1st migraine when I was 11 yrs old. I had no clue what was going on. My mother had migraines so she knew exactly what was happening. I don't know what I would have done w/o her. I had never felt such pain, so many weird things happening to me. I would vomit uncontrollably, couldn't open my eyes, stand ANY noise.

My PCP back then would give me IM phenergsn for nausea & DHE45-for the headache. I don't know what hurt more-shot or h/a. I'm 62 & have been diagnosed w/chronic migraines. At least 50 something years later these horrible headaches are being treated like a disease-not "that time of the month " headache. I wouldn't wish these on anyone. Unfortunately my oldest son suffers from periodically.

I've had MRI's, CT scans, all kinds of blood work, sleep studies, EEG's. Thank the Lord no tumors or other horrible things have ever been found.

I deal Day to day, pray I can get thru whatever I need to w/o collapsing.
So much more but that's another day. God bless us all that have to deal w/these horrible sometimes life altering headaches. Thank you.
