Living with an insatiable Monster

I started getting migraines when I was 15 years old, and they were simple, maybe 1-3 per month, and I would occasionally have to miss a day of school. I watched my mom deal with chronic migraines growing up, so I used to pray to God to give her pain to me because I didn't want her to suffer anymore. Well, looks like my prayers were answered.

When I turned 18, and started trying to go to college I started getting Chronic migraines, and that 1-3 a month jumped to 15-30 a month, and eventually I ended up with medical withdrawals 3 straight semesters, and had to drop out of college. I pray I get a chance to go back, and finish my financial degree, and if I can ever get the migraines back to 10-15 a month I would love to try again.

Well, I'm rambling, but sadly after college the migraines continued to grow in number as well as the number of failed neurologists and medicines/treatments. By my 21st birthday I was getting severe migraines every single day without any relief, and it has been that way for the past 3 years. The reason I am posting this story is to show no matter how much pain I would go through I kept trying to live my life, and even when I had to move back home with my family and quit two jobs because of the pain the laid back attitude and giant smile I was known for never left.

A big reason for that is what I used as my pain relief which was sports, running, family and friends, running and working out, and specifically video games. I want to use my skill in video games and cheerful demeanor to raise money and awareness for an unseen enemy that afflicts so many people in this country and this world. Even if I only raise a little bit, and this plan completely fails I will at least have a purpose again, and will know that people will get a glimpse into a world that most people wouldn't be able to comprehend or acknowledge because they can't see what we as migraine suffers go through every day.

God bless you all, and if you want to check it out it will be on Twitch tv, and I will be streaming pc games and eventually console games. League of Migraines will be my channel name.
