My Migraines Are Cyclical

My first migraine was in Junior High during p.e. in a sea of navy and white striped uniforms under florescent lights. I lost my vision on one side and scared to death I was going blind! Later when I told my folks I learned they both got them too. About every 7 years or so the headaches would ramp up from 2 to 3 times a year to 2 to 3 times a week. Then, they'd back off again...when I married at 21, when pregnant at 29, etc.

Now I'm 58 and have had 1 to 3 headaches a day for the last three weeks. Some are triggered by barometric changes. The first thing I notice is extremely strong smells, sounds and lights. Then dizziness, sometimes nausea and always a bad headache. Often it feels like a heavy weight on top of my head...like right now as I write this. Both of my grown sons have had migraines since grade school.
