Migraines made worse by car accident
In 2010, I was MIS-diagnosed with Lung Cancer. (I have had cancer twice previously and although completely cured, always nervous) I promptly totaled my car. I did NOT have lung cancer but by that time, my degenerative disc disease aggravated migraines. (Had MRI's of cervical spine and brain and there was no cancer).
Numerous standard acute and preventive treatments have been tried with little to no success including Topamax, Nortriptyline, Inderal, Tizandine, Occipital Nerve Blocks and 155 units of Botox injected in January 2010 using the current approved FDA protocol for chronic migraine.
I had 2 did a cervical facet blocks on my C3 and C4. I then underwent radio-frequency ablation RFA at C2, C3 and C4 on the right side. I had a 2nd RF ablation in April to no relief. I was then prescribed Namenda, an Alzheimer's drug that Dr. Andew Charles at UCLA has been using with some success. It made my migraines worse.
It seems unbelievable that I have been cured twice of cancer and no one can help me with the migraines.
